Today I am going to be showing you how to completely shutdown applications on your iOS device.
Apple claims that you should never have to do so, but let’s face it sometimes things go wrong. If you iOS device is running slow or is having problems maintaining battery life, there may be an app that is running in the background causing the issues.
To totally close an app you have to double click the home button to bring up the task switcher. Once that’s up, press and hold any of the icons. They will start wiggling, just like they do on the homescreen when they are long-pressed. A red delete button will appear on each icon. To close the app, simply press the red button and the icon will go away. The app is now closed.
