RFID, or Radio frequency Identification, it’s already in use today. There are RFID enabled credit cards from both Visa and Mastercard.

Analysts have a hard enough time predicting what will happen in a year. Yet an engineer in 1900 made predictions that have become reality.
Zappos confirmed on Sunday that hackers breached the company’s servers and accessed personal data belonging to 24 million customers. The hackers gained access to range of sensitive data including user names, encrypted passwords, customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and the last four digits of credit card numbers. The company stated that full credit card numbers were not compromised. As a security measure, Zappos reset the passwords of all affected customers and sent out emails alerting them to the situation. The good news is that they are being transparent on what happened and on how they plan on fixing the issue. The full email Zappos sent to customers is below.
A lot of posts this week regarding the gadget industry as it saw the coming and going of CES 2012. Overall though, we thought this CES was pretty slow. We also had an Apple announcement, though it isn’t what you want it to be. Let’s review:

Verizon plans on going all in on LTE, having it become a “hard requirement” for all future devices. Whether it is smartphones, tablet, or mobile hotspots, all future devices will feature 4G LTE connectivity.
