iPad to Get iOS 4.2 in November

If you are an iPad owner, you have no doubt been salivating over the iPhone’s multitasking abilities. Trust me, you are not alone. Apple announced yesterday, that they would be releasing the iOS 4.2 update to the iPad in November. They showed off the aspects of iOS 4 on the iPad, and it is exactly like the iPhone.

While, I am extremely happy to at least have a time frame for the launch of iOS 4 for the iPad, I am disappointed by its implementation. I was expecting Apple to do something different for the iPad when it came to multitasking. If it is just the same as the iPhone, why the delay in releasing it? I also expected some sort of widget implementation. Again, I was disappointed. The iPad’s screen cries out to be used in a more interesting and useful way.

Now I can only have hope for iOS 5, which is too long to wait for something different. Look forward next week for my look at the iOS of the future.

I've been fighting the urge to get an iPad, but it getting increasingly more difficult. With the new capabilities you mentioned here, I'm starting to drool a little.
