What’s Next for Apple?

Now that the world hasn’t ended, it is time to officially look into our crystal balls and predict what the future will hold. What Apple goodies will we see in 2013 and when? What’s next for Apple? Let’s dive right in and find out!

Apple TV – January 2013?

There have been many rumors about an Apple branded TV for years. Will this be the year we see it? Rumors say a early announcement is likely.

Mac OS X 10.9 Lynx Preivew – January

It’s likely that Apple will invite reporters for a preview of this in January as they did with Mountain Lion.

iPad 5th Gen – March or October?

There will be a new iPad. It should be redesigned. Will we see it in March (traditional) or in October like we did with the iPad 4th gen? Or will we see two versions like we did in 2012?

iOS 7 Preview – June

We’ll see a preview of the hopefully totally revamped, less skeuomorphic, totally awesome, designed by Jony Ive, version of iOS 7 in June at WWDC.

iPhone 5s/6 – October 2013

Most likely Apple will release it’s next updated smartphone in the fall of 2013 at a special media event.

Mac OS X 10.9 Release – October

We’ll see the final release of Apple’s next desktop OS. Will this be the end for Mac OS X?

iPad Mini 2 – October

Retina Smetina. Will we see a higher resolution? More power? Yes. Probably alongside the iPhone.
