Acer Liquid E2 headed to Europe in May
The first Acer Liquid smartphone, the E1 did a fairly good round. And it was only a matter of time that we saw the Acer Liquid E2 being released. We have been checking out countless rumors about the Acer Liquid E2 for a while now and it was unofficially confirmed a while back, but today’s announcement has made it official. The smartphone will be arriving in May and will be headed towards the European markets.
Although Acer Liquid E2 is a follow up smartphone, it has been giving a design overhaul and many features have been added to the smartphone. This is a very smart move from Acer because we really hate to see part 2 of smartphones looking exactly like the previous version. This time around the Acer Liquid E2 will have an improved camera as well as a beefed up processor. The smartphone will also come in dual SIM models if you want to run two connections simultaneously.
The Acer Liquid E2 has a 4.5 inch IPS display with qHD 430 x 960 pixels resolution. There is a 1.2 GHz quad core processor under the hood which is accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. The smartphone has 4 GB of internal storage with the option of expansion via a microSD card. That’s not all though, the Acer Liquid E2 has an 8 MP rear facing camera as well as a 2 MP front facing one, and this is rare in mid ranged smartphones. The smartphone packs a respectable 2,000 mAh battery and runs on Android version 4.1 Jelly bean.
The Acer Liquid E2 will arrive in mid-May in UK, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Netherlands, Belgium, Russia and Spain. And will cost only €229 which is around $298. The smartphone will be available in obligator black and white colors. We think that a smartphone with these specs and price is a great deal, although some may be put off by the relative fame of the Acer smartphone brand.
